Terms of service

The terms you agree to when you use Rafter Leads. Written to be read, not skimmed past.

The short version on leads

Your leads are allocated for the whole billing period, not month by month. On a quarterly plan you get 350 leads for the quarter and can use them whenever you like within it. A quiet fortnight costs you nothing. Unused leads do not carry into a new period.

1. Who we are

Rafter Leads is an Australian B2B revenue intelligence platform based in Perth, Western Australia. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Rafter Leads, and "you" means the person or business using the service.

2. Your account

You need an account to use the platform. Keep your login details secure and tell us promptly if you think someone else has used them. You are responsible for activity under your account, including activity by users you invite on plans that include multiple users.

Where a plan includes a number of users, that is the maximum number of individual logins permitted. Sharing a single login between people is not permitted.

3. Leads, and how they are allocated

A lead is one business profile, unlocked. Unlocking a profile reveals everything we hold on that business, including contact details, the registry record and any AI written briefing. There is no additional charge for individual fields.

  • Leads are allocated for the billing period, not per month. A quarterly plan grants its full allocation at the start of the quarter, a six monthly plan at the start of the six months, and an annual plan at the start of the year.
  • You may use your allocation at any pace within that period.
  • Unused leads expire at the end of the billing period and do not carry forward into a renewal or a new plan.
  • Once you unlock a business it remains accessible to your account at no further cost, including after the period ends, for as long as your subscription is active.
  • Reopening a profile you have already unlocked never consumes another lead.
  • Exporting a profile you have not previously unlocked consumes a lead, in the same way opening it would.

4. Pricing and payment

All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable. Committed plans are charged in advance for the full period. Monthly plans are charged in advance each month.

Committed plans renew automatically at the end of the period unless cancelled beforehand. We will tell you before a renewal is charged. We may change pricing, and if we do we will give you notice before it affects a renewal.

5. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel at any time and your access continues to the end of the period you have paid for. We do not refund the unused portion of a committed period, because the allocation is granted up front. If something has gone genuinely wrong, contact us and we will deal with it fairly.

6. Acceptable use

The platform is for finding and contacting businesses for legitimate business purposes. You must not:

  • Resell, redistribute or publish our data, or make it available as a dataset or list to a third party.
  • Use automated means to extract data beyond the export tools we provide.
  • Use contact details for purposes that breach the Spam Act 2003, the Do Not Call Register Act 2006, the Privacy Act 1988, or any other applicable law.
  • Share your account with people outside your organisation.
  • Attempt to interfere with, probe or reverse engineer the platform.

You are responsible for how you contact the businesses you find. Complying with Australian marketing and privacy law is your obligation, not ours.

7. The data itself

We work hard to keep the data accurate and current, and every profile clears a quality standard before it goes live. Even so, business information changes constantly and we do not warrant that every record is complete, current or error free. The data is provided for your commercial judgement, not as a guarantee.

Where a business or individual asks us to remove their information, we may do so, and that record may disappear from your results.

8. Intellectual property

The platform, its software, design and the compiled database remain our property. Unlocking a profile gives you a licence to use that information for your own business purposes. It does not transfer ownership of the underlying data or any right to redistribute it.

9. Availability

We aim to keep the platform available at all times but cannot promise uninterrupted access. We may need to suspend it for maintenance, and we will give notice where we reasonably can.

10. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Where we are permitted to limit liability, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or lost business opportunities.

11. Suspension

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, particularly the acceptable use section. Where the breach is serious, such as reselling our data, we may do so without notice and without refund.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The current version always lives on this page with the date above. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you before it takes effect.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, and the courts of Western Australia have jurisdiction.
